School Day Timings
School Timings
School Times: Monday – Friday: 8.45am – 3.15pm
The school day session times are as follows:
- School Gates Open: 8:35am
- Registration: 8:45 - 8:50am
- Early Morning Skills Work: 8:50 - 9:20am
- 1st Session (Maths): 9:20 - 10:30am
- Morning Break: 10:30 - 10:50am
- 2nd Session (English): 10:50 - 12:15pm
- Lunch: 12:15 - 1.10pm (Two sittings: Approx. 30 mins eating in the hall, 30 mins playing outside)
- 3rd Lesson (other curriculum areas): 1:15 - 2:20pm
- Collective Worship: 2:30 - 2:50pm
- Story Time: 2:55 - 3.10pm
- Home time: 3:15pm
Supervision
Members of staff are available to supervise the children ten minutes before and ten minutes after school timings: 8:35 – 8.45 am and 3.15 – 3.25 pm.
Please note that children in or around the school before or after these times are NOT legally our responsibility and we ask that you try to deliver and collect them promptly.
Morning Break
Milk is available for all children. It is free for every child until the age of Five and available to buy should you wish your child(ren) to keep having milk at school beyond this. Parents and carers will need to register with Cool Milk for Schools online (please contact the school office for all the relevant details).
The school also participates in the government Fruit and Veg Initiative, providing a healthy snack for all children in Foundation Stage Two and Key Stage One (Auckland, Brisbane and Canberra Class).
If you would like to provide your child with a snack at break time, the school policy is for this to be ‘healthy’. Fruit, vegetables, crackers, cheese, sandwiches or cereal bars are encouraged rather than crisps, sweets, chocolate or biscuits.
