A Sense of Community

There is a strong tradition of Community Spirit at Sutton Veny and the children are encouraged to care for others and engage in a number of community events. This helps the children to develop a sense of community and enables them to make a positive contribution.

Our code of conduct

  • Always do your best
  • Be kind to each other
  • Always set a good example

Each year the children make Harvest boxes for the local residents and at Christmas time they carol sing for the residents at the Nursing Home. Each summer the school is actively involved in the Sutton Veny Flower Show, producing artwork for the gallery and performing Maypole dancing.

After-school clubs, inter-school fixtures, tuition at the local comprehensive, and participation in the town’s recreational activity programmes all encourage the children to make creative use of leisure time.
